When it comes to home decor, the French know how to incorporate vintage appeal with contemporary design like no other. While Parisian decor is rooted in historical designs, like gilded gold mirrors and crystal chandeliers, the style also dips its toes into the modern with sleek sculptures and artwork. It's no wonder Parisian-inspired home decor is one of the top trends you'll be seeing everywhere in 2022. And if you want that certain je ne sais quoi at home, pay attention. There are so many easy ways to incorporate the style in your existing space. Hint: You can find it all on Amazon.

"Paris has and always will set the standard for fashion in all things. It's timeless and cutting edge all at once," says interior designer Caron Woolsey. She explains that a big part of the appeal is that many of us are longing to travel, however, it's also a familiar style, making it a "comfortable aesthetic to embrace in terms of risk."

Parisian-Inspired Decor on Amazon

The charming style starts with a blank canvas—most French homes have plain walls to draw the eyes right to statement pieces, whether it be a marble fireplace, stylish furniture, or ornate decor. Interior designer Tiffany Piotrowski explains that classic Parisian spaces typically include "white walls with picture frame molding, gilded golden mirrors in ornate styles, carved fireplaces, and marble flooring."

But if you don't have the luxury of living in an actual Parisian apartment with these built-in details, adding French-inspired decor (in moderation) can help . Even though romantic decor is weaved throughout a home, the Parisian trend is also very minimalistic, giving living spaces room to breathe by limiting clutter. In layman's terms, less is definitely more.

"Gold, velvet, rich textures, and hardware are traditionally Parisian, but new sculptural lighting and unique elements previously unseen, when created with these Parisian finishes, quintessentially pulls the old and new together in a way that feels exciting and inspiring," Woolsey continues.

Even though this trend appears glamorous, it doesn't have to cost a ton. Amazon is brimming with so much Parisian-inspired decor, including stunning furniture, art pieces, and clever picks that'll make your home feel like you're in Paris — all for $100 and under. Omiro Decorative Vintage Wall Mirror

Look at any Parisian home and you'll find a large golden mirror, like this one from Omiro. Piotrowski says that golden mirrors in ornate styles are a must to get the quintessential look. Another tip? She advises hanging the eye-grabbing mirror over the fireplace for an "instant Parisian feel." This vintage mirror has traditional carvings of feathers and plant motifs around the sides, which is very Baroque-esque. The oval mirror is easy to hang, lightweight, and while on the smaller side, makes a big impact.

Roundhill Furniture Slatina Silky Velvet Accent Chair

Velvet furniture has a way of being classy yet cozy, which is why this upholstered accent chair is totally on par with the Paris-rooted trend. In fact, Woolsey says that velvet textures like this one make furniture appear "traditionally Parisian." Interior designer Jill Croka also says that muted colors, like the chair's blush hue paired with gold sled-style legs, is right on trend. The chair has a comfortable arched back and soft lines that'll fit right in at your desk or vanity.

Ekena Millwork Garanda Ceiling Medallion

Even if you live in a newly constructed home, you can still make your walls look "French" without installing dramatic picture frame molding. Piotrowski suggests adding a ceiling medallion that mimics the vintage look, like this one from Ekena Millwork. This white medallion blends in perfectly with the ceiling to make it look like it's always been there. The intricate feathered design truly elevates your ceiling to draw the eye upward. However, you have to complete the Parisian look with a statement light—say, a beautiful chandelier.

Saint Mossi Elegant Crystal Chandelier

Speaking of chandeliers, this gorgeous one looks like it came straight out of the Élysée Palace. Oh, la la! Both Piotrowski and Croka confirm that a crystal chandelier is a staple in Parisian decor, especially when combined with a ceiling medallion. This romantic option is made of delicate glass and designed with real crystal droplets that give the room an elegant feel. It also comes with five electrical lights, making it both beautiful and functional.

Toujours Floral Dried Bouquet

The French take their floral gardens very seriously, however, it's a bit hard to have one in the city. That doesn't stop Parisians from bringing flowers into their homes. In fact, adding fresh cut (or dried) flowers is a must if you want to get the trend right. Natural elements like real flowers, stone, and wood are standard, according to Croka. One way to make flowers last is to display them dried, like this whimsical bouquet. It's made with baby's breath, pampas grass, ferns, and Billy button flowers that give it a pop of color.

With so many big, bold details around, minimalist artwork balances the room out, and these simple figure prints are so French. It comes with three designs on a white background using a unique single-line drawing technique. Choose between three wood frames, including light wood, walnut, or black.
