There has been no shortage of spring/summer fashion trends for us, and our fave celebs, to try out this season. And we can't help but notice a lot of them have been, well, rather naked. From exposed thongs (we're looking at you Y2K revival) and cut-outs, to the tights as pants look that was popular at the beginning of the year as well as sheer and see-through dresses. The most stylish stars have been trialling all of these and more, and we love to see it.

Alongside these more revealing looks, the optical illusion naked dress has been growing in popularity as something of a micro-trend. Despite its name, these designs are actually more covered than they suggest, giving the illusion of nudity through illustrations and body-contouring shadows strategically printed onto the fabric.

It's incredibly clever and Paris Jackson just stepped out in one of the most realistic graphic naked dresses we've seen.

Paris' lewk was shared on Instagram by her stylist team Dani and Emma. The dress in question was a Jean Paul Gaultier design that featured a screen print of a nude body. The long-sleeved black maxi number mimicked the shadows in and around the print and further added to the impression of a see-through piece. We had to do a double-take when we first saw the 'fit to check she wasn't actually naked.

Barely-there black heeled sandals and a small black shoulder bag completed the look. The dress was sourced from Janet Mandell, a luxury designer rental service, and the showroom shared another look at Paris in the dress on their own social media.

If the 'fit seems a little familiar, it may be reminding you of Kendall Jenner's naked dress that the model wore on Instagram back in February. Kenny's vintage design was also by Jean Paul Gaultier and was the designer's "Venus De Milo" dress from his spring/summer 1999 collection.

Maya Jama also wore a similar style while she was presenting Love Island. She shared a close-up look of the Roman sculpture-esque naked illusion dress by Syndical Chamber on her social media. Check it out below.

And more recently, Ashley Graham stepped out in a subtle take on the trend. Her denim dress from Sergio Castaño Peña – a label that seems to specialise in optical illusion 'naked' dresses – used clever shadows to give the same, less obvious effect.

We can't wait to see who will try the trend next. Watch this space.
