Paris Hilton and Devon Aoki Attend Met Gala for the First Time

Paris Hilton and Devon Aoki just made their Met Gala debuts, in 2023 — a triumphant moment for our Y2K queens.

Unlike her usual colorful outfits, Hilton wore a vampy onyx dress by Marc Jacobs, featuring a glittery off-the-shoulder top (with opera gloves attached) and matte leather skirt. She accessorized with daring platforms and a rosette choker in the same glittery texture as her gown.

In an interview with Vogue on the carpet, Jacobs said of the look: "It's not typical for Paris."

Hilton spoke about her relationship to the late designer, who's the subject of this year's Costume Institute exhibit. "Karl and I hung out in Paris a couple times, and he was always just such a inspiration to me always," she told Vogue. "I have always just looked up to him in so many ways, and I love that we're honoring him tonight."

Aoki, meanwhile, wore a gown by Jeremy Scott, who recently left Moschino after nearly a decade-long run. The onetime Lagerfeld muse stuck to the designer's preferred color palette of black and white with her look: a mermaid dress featuring a white bustier with wings coming out of the chest and a black sequined skirt.
