The cast of Parasite has taken awards season by storm, cementing the legacy of the record-breaking South Korean film. Members of the cast, including Choi Woo-shik, Park So-dam, Lee Sun-kyun, Park So-dam, Cho Yeo-jeong, Lee Jung-eun, Jang Hye-jin, and Park Myung-hoonwere on hand to support Parasite and its six nominations at the Oscars.

Although the project secured nominations in several categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film, none of the actors were recognized. The snub came just before the cast won Outstanding Ensemble in a Motion Picture at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. During that show, the entire cast got a standing ovation from their peers in the audience.

The SAG win made history, as the film was the first foreign language feature to win the award. During their acceptance speech, Song, who plays Kim family patriarch Ki-taek, said, “Although the title is Parasite, the story is about coexistence and how we can all live together,” adding, “but to be honored with the best ensemble award, it occurs to me that maybe we haven’t created such a bad movie.”

Parasite already took home the Oscar for Original Screenplay tonight, and can still win Best International Feature Film, Best Director, and Best Picture.
