We have bad news for anyone who was looking forward to seeing Prince William walk shoulder-to-shoulder with his brother, Prince Harry, at Prince Philip’s upcoming funeral.

Buckingham Palace just announced that the royal brothers will not—we repeat, will not—walk next to each other during the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Although both Prince William and Prince Harry will walk behind Prince Philip’s coffin, they will be separated by a royal relative: Peter Phillips (Princess Anne’s son).

The news might shock some royal aficionados, since many believed they would walk side-by-side during the procession. However, the palace firmly debunked any speculation, claiming it has nothing to do with the rumored rift between Prince William and Prince Harry. *Eye roll*

“We’re not going to be drawn into those perceptions of drama or anything like that,’’ a spokesman said, per People. “This is a funeral and the arrangements have been agreed and they represent Her Majesty’s wishes.”

The 15-person procession will be led by Princess Anne and Prince Charles (the heir to the throne). The funeral will be held about one week after the royal family announced that Prince Philip had passed away at age 99.

While Prince Harry traveled from the U.S. just for the celebration of life, we can’t help but wonder if he’s saving a long talk with his brother for after the ceremony.
