The first three episodes of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's docuseries dropped early this morning, and Buckingham Palace is pushing back on claims that they were given a chance to weigh in. FYI, Harry & Meghan begins with the following disclaimer:

"This is a first-hand account of Harry & Meghan's story, told with never before seen person archive. All interviews were completed by August 2022. Members of the Royal family declined to comment on the content within this series."

However, multiple outlets including People, The Telegraph, and the Daily Mail say that Palace sources have denied being approached at all.

Per The Telegraph, "Royal sources insisted that neither Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace nor any member of the Royal family had been approached for comment or given advance sight of any part of the series."

That said, apparently Palace aides also "insisted that they would not be commenting on any aspect of the series," though that hasn't stopped people from talking/complaining off-the-record. "This is all narrative," one former aide told The Telegraph regarding footage released in the docuseries' trailer. "They say 'everything changed' but what do they mean? What was so bad that it warrants making a comparison with Princess Diana? They seem to be equating her death with a few negative stories and gossip."

If you watch the series, it's pretty clear that Meghan and Harry went through a lot, so hopefully Palace aides will take a moment to hear their point of view.
