How a Pair of Levi’s Shaped a Cultural Revolution

We are in the thick of London Fashion Week, but it you need a break from shows, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London’s “You Say You Want A Revolution” exhibit looks at how the records and rebels from 1966 to 1970 defined the era and made a huge impact on the world. To me, the biggest surprise of the exhibit was not how one music festival in Upstate New York changed everything (or even the impact of the war in Vietnam)—it was how a pair of denim jeans—the original Levi’s—helped shaped a generation.
