The Padres rode through San Francisco on a double-decker tour bus after their usual ride bailed

After the usual team bus failed to show before the San Diego Padres’ game versus the Giants in San Francisco on Sunday, team official TJ Lasita had a crafty solution: charter a double-decker tour bus.

You might be wondering: isn’t this where Uber comes in handy? Think again. The San Francisco Pride parade was happening, and thus, most streets heading to the stadium were closed to general traffic.

Lasita flagged-down a parked and empty tour bus, agreed on a rate with its driver, and off the team went.

Luckily, the usual San Francisco fog had burned off, leaving a beautiful day for players to enjoy the open-air ride – with a police escort through the barricaded streets, of course.

Players apparently enjoyed the change of scenery, with one calling it “f—ing epic.”

“It was actually really cool,” Wil Myers told AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. “It was funny, with the bus being late TJ really came through with something pretty cool for us. It was just a cool experience.”
