Calling all Pogues (and Kooks, if that’s what you’re into): get your watch parties assembled, because Outer Banks returns to Netflix this month. From the looks of it, the show is picking up right where it left off. In Season Three, the gang reunites on a deserted island to find the missing gold. But before we dig into that, here’s a quick refresher on what you’ve missed.

Like Season One of Outer Banks, Season Two of the Netflix series pummeled us like a torrential downpour with as much mystery + treasure + making out + strange but totally quotable lingo as our small human brains could possibly handle. And John B be damned, we got another hell of a cliffhanger. Sarah's family stole the new Big Treasure, the Cross of Santo Domingo, and kinda-sorta tried to kill her. When the Pogues rescue her, they decide to toss the cross in the ocean, but Sarah's family fishes it out and chases the crew with all the treasures in tow. Oh, and John B's father is alive. How's that for a finale?

Got all that? Now, it's time to look ahead—because this morning, Netflix dropped a teaser for Season Three. Check it out below, then read on for everything we know about the next chapter of Outer Banks.

When does Outer Banks Season Three, Premiere?

What? Netflix? Not keep steamrolling new seasons of a massively-popular show in perpetuity? Sheesh. The streamer knew Season Three was on the horizon before Season Two was even finished. Jonas Pate, the creator and showrunner of Outer Banks, confirmed as much in an interview last year with Entertainment Weekly, where he spoke about the series's long game. “Ever since we started, we always viewed it as something that was probably like a four-season, maybe five-season show, but definitely four seasons,” he said. “We’ve sort of long-arced it out pretty far. I’m just hoping that we get a chance to actually tell those stories.”

Season Three is set to premiere on February 23.

What Will Happen in Season 3 of Outer Banks?

It looks like a pretty clear-cut path forward for the Pogues, but a recent quote from Pate might help us clarify a few things.

“We can’t shine a light on everybody all the time, that’s just not in our bandwidth,” Pate told Decider. “We knew this was going to be a Pope-heavy season. And hopefully, if we keep going, they’ll be other characters who kind of get the spotlight to come forward if we get future seasons.”

With John B's father turning out to be alive, does that mean we're in store for a JB-heavy season, where he rekindles his relationship with Papa B (AKA Big John Rutledge)? Regardless of whether or not anyone in the rest of the cast gets that spotlight Pate spoke about, we can expect that to be a major plot point in the next season.

Aside from that? Well, the chase continues. Ward and the Camerons still have beef to settle with the Pogues, so we're sure that another standoff is in store as soon as S3 E1. Even though the Pogues made the decision to throw the cross in the water, it wouldn't be surprising to see the crew reclaim possessions of the treasure. Then, the bad guys will reclaim the treasure again. At some point, there will probably be a new prized possession that will enter the mix. And this cycle will repeat until Netflix calls it a wrap on Outer Banks.
