At last, the Oscars have handed out their gongs. At times, this awards season has felt like a marathon slog – sure, most of this year’s frontrunners are worth catching. But my word, it felt like some campaigns began last summer (step forward, Barbie and Oppenheimer).

However, Christopher Nolan’s A-bomb biopic was a worthy winner, even if it wasn’t terribly surprising that it repeated its Baftas success at the Academy Awards, once again notching up seven wins.

Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things also had a great night with four trophies, including Best Actress for Emma Stone.

Jonathan Glazer’s bruising Holocaust drama, The Zone of Interest – while the definition of arthouse – has proved an unexpected hit this season, and capped its remarkable run with two Oscars.

Barbie, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall and The Holdovers also notched up wins.

Here is the full list of nominees – and winners.
