There's that saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it," but I'm not opposed to some classics getting a revamp every once in a while. I'm talking about Oreo, milk's favorite cookie, and all of the flavor iterations that have popped up over the years that offer special ways to enjoy the treat. The latest in the line-up is a salted caramel brownie Oreo cookie and I can't wait to add it to my shopping cart soon.

Each cookie will still have the famous chocolate wafers you love in a normal Oreo, but rather than one basic layer of creme, they'll be filled with two layers of creme: one that is brownie-flavored and one that is caramel-flavored. Together, every bite will have the chocolate of a typical Oreo with a touch of caramel brownie and for an added touch, the chocolate wafers will be sprinkled with a touch of salt to counter balance the sweetness.

Thankfully, this news comes at the perfect time because the salted brownie Oreos will be available wherever you find Oreos starting this month, so you don't have to twiddle your thumbs waiting to try them out yourself. Next month, you can prepare to get in the festive fall mood with Oreo's new apple cider donut-flavored cookies that are bound to be some of your new favorites. Might I suggest having a taste test of these new Oreo flavors compared to the baked goods that inspired them? There's never a bad time for a salted caramel brownie....or an apple cider donut for that matter either.
