"Oops..."-Rider Narrowly Avoids Midair Collision

Ryan McIntosh

Sometimes on a crowded bike park trail, much like a terrain park in skiing, other riders can get in the way. This can especially become an issue when riders merge.

Watch Ryan McIntosh nearly jump over a fellow rider on a large triple after a jump.

In this video, Ryan goes off a drop that leads into a long triple while practicing for the Crankworx whistler downhill. In the video, many riders appear to be taking the B-line around it, whom McIntosh blazed by to complete the line.

It is unclear if this is a planned clip or if Ryan just sends it with people around. If it is that latter, I do not recommend trying it at home. Even if you aim away from other riders, it is still dangerous to jump over unsuspecting people who can act unpredictably.

Downhill practice is a hectic time. There are many people on the course, who are stopped, hiking up, or recovering from a crash. The raw footage from practice shows that it can be pandemonium. Watch a video of this chaos below.
