Big Brother cast break major rule in live streamITV

Uh-oh, it appears the cast of Big Brother 2023 are in major trouble with Big Brother after breaking one of the series' most important rules during a recent live stream.

On Wednesday night (11th October) following the episode at 9pm on ITV2, a number of the Big Brother cast mates were featured on the live stream (which is available to stream every night on ITVX) breaking a rule.

In the live stream a number of the housemates reportedly removed their microphones, prompting a scolding from a voice, that did not appear to belong to Big Brother, telling them to put their microphones back on.

One eagle eyed fan spotted the interaction and shared the moment on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: "OMG a young sounding Big Brother voice just told them off for not wearing their mic’s. At this rate if I hear the female BB come back on live feed I might pass out. #BBUK."

And another also spotted the moment saying on X, formerly known as Twitter,: "On the Big Brother Live Stream a little while ago, Big Brother reminded HMs to wear their microphones at all times. Interestingly, it was the voice of a producer, not the awful new ‘official’ BB voice. For a moment it sounded like the good ol’ days."

Unfortunately the live stream is not available on catchup so we can't rewind and watch the moment of rule breaking for ourselves, or most importantly find out who did the rule breaking.

A housemate removing their microphone is basically rule 101 in the Big Brother house, and the only times they do not need to wear their mics is when they're in the shower, in the bath or while sleeping.

Removing a microphone isn't the only thing that could get housemates in trouble. During their time on the show, their social media accounts must essentially have a blackout, with their friends and family not able to post anything on their behalf while in the show.

And before going in the Big Brother house, all housemates receive respect and inclusion training to prepare them for living in the house.

When the show appeared on Channel 4 and 5, the housemates also had to follow a set list of rules which included not being able to move the furniture, not being allowed to discuss who they nominated for eviction and why, and they must not discuss any previous season of Big Brother while on the show.

Big Brother sure is strict.

Big Brother continues on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
