This One Clip From the New 'Yellowstone' Season 4 Trailer Has Fans Seriously Upset

Season 4 of Yellowstone premieres on November 7 with two brand-new episodes, and Paramount Network gave viewers a glimpse at what's to come with the official trailer. The video recaps the season 3 finale and offers some teasers with shocking new footage that shows the Dutton family ranch under siege. Fans are surely watching and rewatching the 74-second video and dissecting it frame by frame for clues, but one clip immediately raised their hackles.

In one blink-and-you-miss-it-scene, it appears that beloved ranch hand Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith) takes a punch to the face and falls to the ground. Viewers took to the comments section to voice their concerns and post theories about who Lloyd's attacker might be.

One fan wrote, "Wait... Was that Loyd who was punched?? If he gets hurt I'll be upset. He's one of my favorites!!" Another incensed fan agreed: "Whoever thought they could put hands on Lloyd, we’re gonna have problems 👊." One fan says, "I hope it’s not sweet Lloyd."

Fans replayed the scene to try to figure out what is going on. One said, "If you pause it, it looks like Rip is the one punching him." Another said, uncertainly, "I think it's maybe...Rip...?" A commenter on Forrie J. Smith's Instagram post speculated, "I saw this too and remember Rip told Lloyd he didn't want Jimmy killed doing rodeo...maybe that's why 🤷" Another fan suggests that it wasn't Rip at all: "I think it's Jamie hitting Lloyd...I froze the frame. But obviously not sure."

It's also troubling to see barrel racer Laramie (Hassie Harrison), who has a special bond with Lloyd, crying against the barn in the trailer, leaving fans to wonder if she's upset about Lloyd's attack. One viewer says that Laramie is "probably crying because something happens to Lloyd since that was him getting punched."

We can only imagine what led up to this scene, but we sure hope Lloyd is okay!
