Christmas has truly come early, as a Love Actually reunion is officially happening later this year. I know, I still can't believe it either.

The cast of the iconic Christmas film will be reuniting to celebrate the films' 20th anniversary in a special episode on ABC. 20 years? Now I really feel old.

The Laughter & Secrets of Love Actually: 20 Years Later will air 29th November on ABC and "look at how the film became a beloved Christmas tradition and a global sensation, with new insight into behind-the-scenes secrets and iconic scenes".

The hour long special will feature interviews by Diane Sawyer, with notable cast members such as Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Billy Nighy, and Laura Linney. Love Actually writer and director Richard Curtis is also expected to make an appearance.

In the trailer for the special Diane Sawyer can be seen asking the cast what "is love actually?" Whilst we don't get to see all of their responses, we do get an insight into Hugh Grant's answer: "dead!". How festive.

Love Actually came out in 2003 and sees a number of intertwined love stories taking place in London at Christmas.

This won't be the first time the Love Actually cast has reunited. Back in 2017 a number of the cast members came back together for a one-off Red Nose Day special. The special featured Keira Knightley, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth and many others reprising their roles.

The episode saw Billy Mack (Bill Nighy) release another Christmas single, David (Hugh Grant) regain his position as prime minister and a young Sam (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) return as an adult to meet step-dad Daniel (Liam Neeson), bringing with him his girlfriend Joanna (Olivia Olson), who he ran after in the airport during the film.

Unfortunately, there is no current UK release date for the new Love Actually special, but we're definitely keeping our fingers crossed.
