Olivia Rodrigo Just Performed at the VMAs and Fans Think She Actually Broke the Camera

Olivia Rodrigo owned the spring and summer this year. You cannot deny it. You literally can't go anywhere without hearing one of her songs from Sour, the debut album from the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actress. Tonight, her moment continued with her very first VMAs performance. The good folks over at MTV just knew they had to book Olivia to perform, otherwise fans would be pulling up on them like:

Olivia's performance brought Sour to life in a whole new way. She gave us "Good 4 U," and it was incredible! But at the very end, she pushed her mic toward the camera, and it looked like she broke the lens. See videos of it here:

It might just be a special camera trick, but wouldn't it be dope if it was actually real?

Fans were anxious about what hits Olivia would perform tonight because even though she's only got one album, there are legit a TON of options. Oh, and friendly reminder: Not only is this Olivia's first VMAs performance ever, but it is also her first time being up for the ~actual award~.

She came in strong, nabbing a whole six nominations, including some of the v highly coveted honors. Her VMAs nominations include: Artist of the Year, Song of the Year ("Driver's License", and she already won that one), Best New Artist, Push Performance of the Year ("Driver's License"), Song of the Summer ("Good 4 U"), and Best Pop Video ("Good 4 U"). Not too shabby!

Can't wait to see what Moonmen she takes home, because let's be honest, we all know she will!
