Listen, parenting is hard — and anything that makes it less hard is definitely a win! Olivia Munn celebrated a recent mom hack by doing a controversial thing with her son Malcolm, who turns 2 this month, and the internet had opinions.

Over the weekend, the Aleppo actress shared two selfies of her and Malcolm on Instagram. She has her mouth open wide next to Malcolm, who is grinning from ear to ear as he sips on a strawberry milkshake. In the next photo, Malcolm wears a fuzzy brown hat with a white t-shirt and brown polka dot pants as he sips the milkshake. How can you resist that cutie pie?

“I always knew I’d be the kind of mom who allows milkshakes for breakfast 🍓,” she captioned the adorable post.

Many moms flocked to the comment to share praise for Munn, including Paris Hilton who commented, “Cutie🥰.” Leslie Mann also commented, “❤️.”

Another person wrote, “Quick question…..how do you and John actually tell him no?! EVER?! ❤️ look at that face!!! 😍” It must be impossible!

“Honestly tho, there’s not that much of a difference between having a smoothie for breakfast and having a milkshake for breakfast,” someone else said. It has fruit, dairy, and protein. What’s the problem?

Someone else wrote, “Probably less sugar than most cereal plus fruit, so really, you are winning, and this should be a Pro-tip.”

In a world full of mom-shamers, it was nice to see most people actually being super nice about this instead of judging her parenting. Some people just couldn’t resist, though, like one person who wrote: “Girl 🙄 lol talk to us when he’s 4 and absolutely belligerently feral whenever he gets sugar… I want you to show us his breakfast then,” someone rudely commented. Hey, at least Munn isn’t being an almond mom!

Back in March, the Hit-Monkey actress, who shares Malcolm with partner John Mulaney, shared another sweet selfie with Malcolm. This time, his face was covered in pie. “I’ve let him have pie pretty much every day this week,” the Hit-Monkey actress wrote on Instagram. “I don’t know if that’s good or not.”

Mom of three Hilary Duff assured her, “It’s guuuuud.”

I gave my toddler some leftover Halloween candy when he threw a tantrum today, and it instantly made him stop and smile. So if a little sugar gives you some peace this holiday season, I say follow Munn’s example and just go with it!

These celebrity parents have gotten honest about their rules when it comes to technology.
