The actor and her sister, Aurora, documented the incident, which took place Thursday, on their Instagram stories. The pair — along with Olivia's NFL running back boyfriend Christian McCaffrey — were heading to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

"Olivia and I are going to Cabo and look at her outfit," Aurora said in one of her videos, showing Olivia's all-black ensemble of a sports bra, biker shorts, cardigan, and mask. "She looks cute. She looks appropriate."

"No, they call her up to the desk and tell her that she needs to put a blouse on; otherwise, she can't get on the plane," Aurora continued in the clip, which Olivia reposted. "Tell me, is that not so fucked up?"

Aurora also tagged the airline company in the post, adding "Wtf???" Olivia also chimed in, "Oh no, I'm confused lol. Is this inappropriate/offensive?"

Poking fun at the whole debacle, Aurora then posted screenshots of where people can shop for Olivia's outfit, calling it the "get kicked off @americanair starter kit."

The trio were able to board the plane and make their flight thanks to Olivia borrowing her boyfriend's gray hoodie — which he's definitely gonna ask for back: "When you freeze bc ur lady dress inappropriate AF," Aurora captioned a photo of Christian with his arms tucked into his shirt. "Exactly how Jack from the titanic died. LMAO."

According to People, an American Airlines spokesperson had no further comment. And, according to the New York Post, the company's policy only vaguely outlines that "all customers must dress appropriately and offensive clothing isn’t permitted onboard our flights."

Yeah, I'm just still looking for the "offensive" part of Olivia's outfit here, but LMK if you catch it!
