‘Old Town Road’ Scores the Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2020 Grammys

During the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus won the statuette for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Other nominees included “Boyfriend” by Ariana Grande and Social House, “Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers, “Sunflower” by Post Malone and Swae Lee and “Señorita” by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.

Last year, “Shallow” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper won the statuette in this category, beating out “Say Something” by Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Backstreet Boys, “’S Wonderful” by Tony Bennett and Diana Krall, “Fall in Line” by Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera, “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5 featuring Cardi B and “The Middle” by Zedd, Grey and Maren Morris.

The Grammys first debuted the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category back in 2012 to celebrate the music industry’s hottest groups and collaborations. Former recipients include “Feel It Still” by Portugal. The Man, “Stressed Out” by Twenty One Pilots, “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, “Say Something” by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera and “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.
