There’s Now a Live Auction Featuring Selina Meyer’s ‘Veep’ Wardrobe And…What Are You Waiting For?
Have you ever wanted to dress like Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) on HBO’s Veep? Well, now’s your chance.
Screenbid recently launched a live auction featuring more than 1,000 pieces from Meyer’s presidential wardrobe. This means fans can now bid on iconic looks from the character’s closet, which are discounted as much as 70 percent off.
The Screenbid sale spans all seven seasons of Veep, including the entire “red dress collection.” There’s also a slew of frocks from noteworthy designers, such as Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Victoria Beckham, Narciso Rodriguez, Chanel, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Prada.
Specific pieces include the raspberry silk blouse and wool pencil skirt that Meyer donned during her Twitter scandal, the red nylon coat she sported at pancake brunch and the green tweed dress she wore while trying to cover up for her daughter, Catherine.
All of the lots were either worn by Louis-Dreyfus or one of her co-stars—Tony Hale (Gary Walsh), Timothy Simons (Jonah Ryan), Anna Chlumsky (Amy Brookheimer), Sam Richardson (Richard Splett), Reid Scott (Dan Egan), Kevin Dunn (Ben Cafferty), Gary Cole (Kent Davison), Sufe Bradshaw (Sue Wilson) and Sarah Sutherland (Catherine Meyer).
In addition to clothing, Screenbid is also auctioning off a number of handbags, accessories and shoes worn by the cast of Veep. (You know, in case you literally want to step into Selina’s Manolo Blahniks.)
Not a fan of the show’s diplomatic wardrobe? No problem. You can also bid on the actual set, including props straight from the Oval Office—like Selina’s pen stand, the wicker back accent chair, the presidential seal rug and the famous George Washington portrait.
