When Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West unveiled their sparse, Axel Vervoordt-designed home on the pages of AD, reactions were...mixed. The Belgian Vervoordt is known for sparse interiors, and in the Kardashian West home, he took this to an extreme, prompting much online commentary, from critiques on the monochrome rooms to musings on how things even worked (Kardashian herself had to clarify the function of a flat looking slab sink). Well, it turns out one of the home's critics may be none other than its eldest minor resident, North West.

"'Your house is so ugly; it's all white—who lives like this,'" is a frequent refrain from North when she's angry, her mother Kim Kardashian West revealed yesterday in a clip from The Ellen Show (above)."Every time I get into a fight with my daughter North, she thinks this is a dig to me," laughs Kardashian West in the segment, during which she also touches on bribery, Roblox, and more trials and tribulations of parenting.

That said, the mother of four isn't swayed by North's critiques—she's more than happy in her monochrome manse. "It is kind of mean, because I like my house," Kardashian West quips in the video. But do we perhaps spy in young North a budding maximalist? After all, her own room in the family home is its most colorful: a Pepto-Bismol pink-swathed jewel box with a butterfly headboard and coordinating mushroom lamps. Welcome to the dark bright side, North; might we suggest some more colorful inspiration below?
