  • Kanye West released a new song, "Wash Us in the Blood," with a potent music video directed by Arthur Jafa.

  • North West appears at the end in a clip from a Sunday Service rehearsal.

Like it or not, the return of Kanye is nigh.

Days after the rapper and fashion designer announced a new mega partnership with Gap, he announced his 10th solo album, God’s Country, and released his first single for it: "Wash Us in the Blood" featuring Travis Scott. The track debuted with accompanying visuals from director, cinematographer, and artist Arthur Jafa, who intercut various clips of police protests, video game sequences, live performances from Black artists, Black hospital patients breathing heavily on ventilators, and digital renderings of Kanye's face, among others. The final product is a poignant and potent string of visuals.

At the end of the concentrated compilation comes a lighter moment from Kanye's seven-year-old daughter, North West, who dances around in a video taken from one of the rapper's Sunday Service rehearsals. Bouncing in her space buns and bright orange sweatshirt while backed by a gospel choir, North's cameo ends Kanye's explosive montage on an innocent and peaceful note.

This isn't the youngster's first time to leave her imprint on her dad's work. Earlier this year, she performed on Kanye's runway during the Yeezy Season 8 presentation in Paris. She took the mic at one of his Sunday Service session last year too.

North has actually been gracing her father's videos since she was a baby. In 2015, she starred in his "Only One" visuals, directed by Spike Jonze no less, as Kanye carried her and strolled with her hand in hand. And late last year, she; her mother, Kim Kardashian West; and younger siblings—Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West—appeared in the rapper's "Closed on Sunday" visuals.
