KRYSTEN PEEK: No. 13, North Texas, shocked No. 4, Purdue. While early in the first day of game No. 15, Oral Roberts, upset No. 2, Ohio State, to advance in the NCAA Tournament. This was not a good day for the Big Ten, to say the least. The Big Ten had nine teams entering the Tournament, the most out of any conference this year.

The Mean Green led by 8 at halftime and didn't let off the gas in the second half, despite Purdue's late comeback to send the game into overtime. North Texas came out and held Purdue to just 8 points in OT. Finishing out the game 78-69 with senior guard, Javion Hamlet, leading the team with 18 points.

This is the first NCAA Tournament appearance for North Texas since 2010, and their first ever Tournament win in school history, as they advance to the second round. For continual coverage on the NCAA Tournament, keep it right here on Yahoo Sports.
