Noah Centineo Revealed the Reason Why He Buzzed His Hair

“Some people in my life think that I’ve kind of shifted into a more masculine, brooding type.”

If you’re like us, in the lead-up to the release of To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, you’ve been eating up whatever bits of To All the Boys–related news you can — refreshing your feeds as fast as your fingers allow hoping for any news or updates from the cast. In that process of refreshing, you might have noticed something new about Noah Centineo — or rather, that something is missing.

Since October, Noah has been rocking a new haircut, ditching his shaggy locks for a tight buzz. The new look is fresh, modern, suits him well, and, as he has just revealed, goes beyond just aesthetics.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the actor had been turning over the idea of buzzing his hair for some time, only recently deciding that he was famous enough to finally do it without putting his career at risk and, now that he’s made the big chop, Noah has noticed a few differences in the way people treat him.

“Some people in my life think that I’ve kind of shifted into a more masculine, brooding type,” Noah admitted. “They treat me differently. People are more intimidated. Maybe not intimidated but…a little timid. The buzz-cut guy with scars on his face is a little different than, like, long-hair cute boy.”

It’s been a while since he first debuted the haircut so we’re pretty used to Noah’s new look but it might not be the only style change from Noah in the coming months. In a new Instagram video promoting the sequel, Noah casually mentioned that he was considering getting a ’90s eyebrow slit, which, I guess will undoubtedly pair well with his new do?

But, if you’re missing Noah’s “long-hair cute boy” days, we have some news for you because Peter Kavinsky’s hairdo remains untouched in the sequel. As for Noah, we’ll keep supporting his future hair ventures — in whatever shape or form those might come!
