We're tipping back and forth in our rocking chairs recalling the days when the motion-based game Wii Sports was included with every Wii console. Remember how it was omnipresent? Inescapable at parties, gyms and community centers? Those were the days.

It's been 16 years since Wii Sports premiered (and 13 since its sole sequel, Wii Sports Resort, came out), and we're about due for a new edition. Thankfully Nintendo has heard our pleas and is about to deliver a new title for its wildly popular current system, the Nintendo Switch. The game is called, appropriately enough, Nintendo Switch Sports, and it comes out April 29. We're counting the days!

If you're as excited as we are, you'll be thrilled to hear that you can pre-order Nintendo Switch Sports right now. If you have Amazon Prime, you’ll get free two-day shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.)

What do you have to look forward to with this new sports game? Well, you'll see the return of old favorites like bowling and tennis. But it's now joined by new sports: soccer, volleyball, badminton and chambara — you might know that last one better better as "sword fighting." Customizable characters are back as well, just don't call them Miis!

Now, you're probably wondering, I know how I can bowl and play tennis with a Joy-Con controller, but how does the soccer work? Well, if you buy the physical edition it comes with a leg strap in the box so you can kick your way through the game. If you already have a leg strap from owning a copy of Ring Fit Adventure, you can save $10 by buying the digital version. But if you want another strap, make sure you order the physical edition of the game at Amazon!

If you pre-order it now, you can be sure to get it the day of release, to start off your May on the right foot!
