Nike Is Giving the High-Performance ZoomX VaporFly Next% Running Shoe an Upgrade
Nike’s popular ZoomX VaporFly Next% running shoe is getting an upgrade.
The sportswear giant has revealed the latest variation of its VaporFly shoe fittingly named the ZoomX VaporFly Next% 2 that’s made to benefit both elite and recreational runners. The design starts off with the use of engineered mesh on the upper making the shoe feel softer and more breathable compared to the previous Vaporweave material. Moving to the tongue is the light padding that helps reduce lace pressure while the forefoot has been revamped to provide extra durability and containment.

While this is a new version of the ZoomX VaporFly Next%, the brand is keeping some of the design elements that wearers have grown to enjoy about the shoe including the full-length carbon plate tucked within the signature ZoomX foam midsole to deliver a propulsive feel and responsiveness when running. Completing the design is the rubber outsole boasting deep grooves that provides additional traction to accommodate various surfaces and racing conditions.
The white iteration of the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2 was released on February 28 in limited quantities for Nike members at Nike.com. The blue-based colorway will be released on Nike.com and at select Nike Running retailers starting on March 25.
