Since its inception in May 1972, Nike has maintained a firm grip on the sportswear world, leading the charge when it comes to sneakers, apparel, team gear and more. As The Swoosh gears up for the next 50 years in business, its focus remains on catering to athletes of all shapes and sizes while simultaneously using the power of technology and innovation to push the boundaries of fitness and sport culture.

Any Nike athlete or enthusiast will tell you that "if you have a body, you're an athlete," and the brand's latest initiative puts those words into action. In May, they launched a new maternity program in the Nike Training Club (NTC) app called "(M)ove like a Mother."

This flexible 48-week program is unlike anything we've seen before, and its designed specifically to support all moms at every stage of pregnancy. Routines are designed for women of all strength levels. The program features brand new workouts and supplementary content in the NTC app to help them feel stronger and prioritize health and movement from early pregnancy all the way through postpartum and beyond.

All exercises were reviewed by a panel of women who specialize in pre and postnatal movement, including a board-certified ob/gyn and a pelvic health physical therapist.

Serena Williams, Lisa Leslie, Brandi Chastain are all Nike athletes and mothers, and over time have helped the company adhere to its mission of redefining sports for the next generation.

Workouts include HIIT, bodyweight, yoga, stretching and more — and they can all be done from the comfort of home. Before getting started, make sure to download the Nike Training Club app. We've also linked to some Nike maternity wear — some on sale — to make exercise during pregnancy as comfortable as possible.
