Nicki Minaj Has Reportedly Given Birth to Her First Child
Nicki Minaj is reportedly a mom!
On Wednesday, September 30, the rapper reportedly gave birth to her first child with husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty in Los Angeles, according to a source speaking to People. Minaj herself hasn’t said anything about giving birth…yet!
Minaj announced her pregnancy in July 2020 with a series of extravagant photos in her classic Barbie fashion. “#Preggers 💛,” she wrote in the caption. The wigs were such a moment:
“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage,” she captioned another pic. “Overflowing with excitement. Thank you all for the well wishes.”
Obviously, fellow celebrities and her fans—lovingly known as Barbz—couldn’t have been happier for the rapper when she announced she was pregnant. “Congrats Nick ‼️😘😘😘u look beautiful ❤️💖GLOWING🥰🙏🏽🥰💖❤️🙏🏽🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖💖💖,” La La Anthony commented in July. “YES Congratulations beauty!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️,” Halle Berry wrote. And model Winnie Harlow added, “Knew it knew it knew it 😍😍😍😍 SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Love you!! ❤️😭.”

There does seem to be a bit of a celebrity baby boom happening right now. Katy Perry, Gigi Hadid, Sophie Turner, Billie Lourde, and many more have all welcomed new little ones in recent weeks. Something is in the water!
As for Minaj, there’s no further news on the baby’s name or sex, but the rapper is already trending on Twitter. “CONGRATS TO NICKI,” Chance the Rapper wrote on Twitter. “YOUR STORY IS ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER TOLD! GOD BLESS THE CHILD.” Her fans are also sending well wishes:
Congratulations, Nicki Minaj! We can’t wait to see the fantastical family portraits that are sure to come! Please let there be more wigs, costumes, and bright pink couches. We need to serotonin.
