Even with Alabama holding a 24-6 lead in the fourth quarter, Nick Saban was not happy.

For the most part, Saban was mad that offensive coordinator Brian Daboll called two passing plays inside Clemson territory with less than eight minutes left. But this probably didn’t make him too happy, either:

On second and 10, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts was flushed out of the pocket and was forced to throw the ball away as he ran toward the sideline. Right after he got rid of the ball, Hurts collided with Saban, who tumbled to the Superdome turf.

The 66-year-old Saban was just fine (he joked about it after the game) after taking the hit from Hurts, who is 6-foot-2 and 218 pounds. He was, however, extremely mad after Daboll dialed up another unsuccessful passing play on third down.

Like really, really mad.

The next time Alabama had the ball, it ran three straight times. This time, it ran the clock out on the Sugar Bowl and clinched a berth in the CFP title game against Georgia.
