Toronto’s goal song is still Hall and Oates, if you were wondering.
First period buzzer: 1-0 Senators.
A quiet first period from the Buds (and their fans) after the Senators capitalized 25 seconds into the game. Ottawa killed off three penalties in the first period and Toronto had quite a few giveaways. Both teams shaking off the rust and nerves tonight.
The Leafs have had three power play opportunities so far, but no bounces.
Toronto hit two posts in one power play, so that’s how things are going.
Great shot on the PP from Mitch Marner hits the post. #LeafsForever pic.twitter.com/ko4P4LInYg

The Toronto Maple Leafs will finally end speculation and name a captain before tonight’s game, but they didn’t give fans a sneak peak in warmups, as no players wore any letters on their jerseys.

The suspense.
We’re also flippin’ excited for hockey to be back.
