After a prolonged pause, the time has finally come to talk about Bachelor in Paradise season seven. Bachelor Nation hasn't enjoyed a beach vacay filled with messy makeouts and unexpected couples since 2019, but there's good news RN. Bachelor in Paradise is officially coming back for a new season on August 16, 2021. There will be a whole new crop of bikini-clad Bachelor and Bachelorette rejects starting drama at a tropical resort (or at least, a COVID-safe bubble).

ABC producers and crew have now proved a global pandemic cannot stop The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. Filming went pretty darn smoothly for the last two seasons. That's all great news for the next season of Bachelor in Paradise, which is set to film this summer.

The questions are surely bubbling up (who? where? and when?) so here's everything you need to know to prepare for Bachelor in Paradise in 2021:

When does Bachelor in Paradise start filming?

The cameras, crew, and contestants are scheduled to start filming in June 2021. Reality Steve shared the news in a spoiler blog post, noting that filming will take place in between Katie Thurston and Michelle Young's upcoming seasons of The Bachelorette.

"Bachelor in Paradise will film per usual in June at a location that hasn’t been announced yet and will begin airing after Katie’s season is done airing, per usual," Steve wrote.

Who's going to be on Bachelor in Paradise?

ABC hasn't announced the full cast, yet. However, ABC exec Rob Mills decided to give fans some happy news and confirmed that Dr. Joe Park, who competed on Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette, will be on the show. Tbd if the rest of his buds from season 16 will join him on the beach.

But there have already been some issues with casting. Just because it's Paradise doesn't mean it's always smooth sailing.

Some Bachelor Nation stars are hesitant to accept an invite to the reality show, per an E! News report. Their reasons? The recent racism controversy in the franchise and Chris Harrison's response.

"Casting has begun and some members of Bachelor Nation are apprehensive to sign up," one source told the publication in March. "Some are wondering what direction the season will take and are curious if it will strictly focus on contestants falling in love."

A second source added, "They have put out several asks to Bachelor veterans. Many people are declining due to the current state of Bachelor Nation. A lot of people are removing themselves from the franchise."

Apparently, ABC is "hoping to get Blake Horstmann and Tia Booth" back to Paradise stat.

Where is Bachelor in Paradise filming?

A resort in Mexico is still a very real possibility, but which one is still tbd. You'll have to wait for Reality Steve to share all the deets when he gets them.

And, who's hosting?

That's another detail that's currently up in the air. However, there are a few possibilities. For starters, Wells Adams is a big fan of being front row to all the beach drama and might be gunning for a promotion from bartender. "I have the best seat in the house because I just get to watch the dumpster fire burn in front of me," he told E! News in February 2021. FWIW Wells also correctly guessed that Rachael Kirkconnell would win Matt James' final rose.

Becca Kufrin is also open to co-hosting by his side. "I would do Paradise if I could be Wells or a sidekick to Wells...Wells is awesome at what he does, right? But he’s not a single woman who can really comment on the guys running down the beach or the women in their cute bikinis," Becca shared on the "Behind the Rose" podcast with Blake Horstmann in January 2021.

You can't rule out Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe as hosts, either, considering they've already taken on that duty for Katie's Bachelorette season. Plus, Chris Harrison made it clear that he intended to return to the franchise at some point.

That's all Reality Steve knows so far, but keep an eye out for more tea boiling over.
