New Orleans newspaper trolls Panthers with classic headline
With Jerry Richardson and his suitcase full of allegations on the way out, the Carolina Panthers are going to spend the offseason looking for a new owner.
But according to an all-time classic troll headline from the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Panthers can rest easy. The second owner in franchise history has already been found.
And no one really needed to look that far.

The Saints might’ve almost blown Sunday’s wild-card game to the Panthers — Cam Newton even had Devin Funchess for the win in the end zone — but it’s hard to argue with the paper’s overall sentiment. The Saints beat the Panthers in all three of their meetings this season and what better way to twist the knife with a headline that won’t be forgotten in that NFC South rivalry.
