Netflix Releases a First Look at Prince William and Kate Middleton in The Crown Season 6

The final season of The Crown is rapidly approaching! Today, Netflix shared first-look images at Prince William and Kate Middleton in season six.

According to Netflix, "As The Crown enters a new decade, Prince William starts at University in St Andrew’s, determined to lead as normal a life as possible while he still can. Also beginning life as a University student, is Kate Middleton from Berkshire. As the pair meet for the first time on campus, a new romance and a new future for The Crown begins."

Actor Ed McVey, 23, will play William in the latter half of season six, and this will mark his on-screen debut. Here's a first look at McVey as Prince William:

Actress Meg Bellamy, 19, will take on the role of Kate, having submitted an audition tape after seeing a casting call on social media. Here, see a first look of Bellamy in character as Kate, the future Princess of Wales:

Earlier this year, the two were spotted filming scenes at St. Andrews, where Will and Kate met in 2001. According to the streamer, the actors "enjoyed some of the real life locations that their characters frequented twenty years ago" as they filmed in St. Andrews, Scotland.

The final season of The Crown will have ten episodes, and will feature the return of many actors from season five: Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed, and Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Al Fayed. The Crown season five ended with Princess Diana packing to go on vacation with the Al Fayeds.
