Netflix Just Released the First Official Photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton in The Crown Season 6
Give the Netflix casting department a raise, because Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy, the actors hired to play Prince William and Kate Middleton, respectively, as college students in the sixth and final season of The Crown, are dead ringers for the future king and queen of England. At least, if these first-look Netflix photos are anything to go by.
On April 27, the streamer released the first official photos of the pair from the forthcoming season. In addition to the actors’ natural resemblance to their real-life counterparts, the early ’00s styling—especially on Kate’s part—help bring the vision to life. Just look at her grown-out side bangs! The smudgy black eyeliner! Don’t get me started on the braided leather belt and low-rise faded denim combo….
The real-life William and Kate probably aren’t the biggest fans of Netflix after the whole Meghan-and-Harry-tell-all-docuseries thing, but we know there’s one royal who will be tuning in for the premiere: Queen Camilla.

The countdown to season 5 has begun.
In 2020 a “source close to the royal” revealed to Vanity Fair that Camilla was “curious” about her on-screen persona. “She has watched it, of course she has, and I believe [Charles] has too,” said the source. “I don’t think she has any real issue with it. Her feeling is very much ‘never complain, never explain.’” TBD if Will and Kate will follow her lead.
