Is Netflix’s ‘Dead to Me’ Returning for Season 3? Here’s What We Know

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

We waited an entire year for Dead to Me to return to Netflix, and it only took us a few days to binge-watch all of season two. So, what’s next for the popular series? Dead to Me season three, perhaps?

Keep reading for all the deets.

1. Has Netflix announced 'Dead to Me' season three?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, but we’d be shocked if Netflix didn’t renew the series for another season. Not only is it one of the streaming service’s most popular shows, but it also left us with a major cliffhanger. So, why not?

2. What is 'Dead to Me' season three about?

Details are still under wraps, though showrunner Liz Feldman previously teased what’s to come. “There’s some more story to tell,” she told Refinery29. “I know exactly what I would want to do for the third season, especially now that you know how season two ends. Now there’s somebody else with a secret.” Feldman is likely referring to Ben (James Marsden), who (spoiler alert!) was involved in a hit-and-run in the season two finale.

3. Who's in it?

No cast members have been confirmed, though we expect all the main players to reprise their roles. This includes Marsden (Ben), Christina Applegate (Jen), Linda Cardellini (Judy), Ana Perez (Diana Maria Riva), Nick Prager (Brandon Scott), Natalie Morales (Michelle) and even Katey Sagal, who plays Judy’s jailbird mother.

4. When's the premiere date?

Netflix hasn’t announced any details about when we’ll be blessed with Dead to Me season three. Based on past installments, it should return sometime in 2021. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, there’s a good chance it’ll get pushed even further.

The James Marsden withdrawal is real.
