David Burtka shared the sweet moment between his husband and daughter.
The Burtka-Harris family was all smiles on a recent visit to the beach.
David Burtka shared a sweet photo of husband Neil Patrick Harris hugging their daughter, Harper Grace Burtka-Harris, who, along with her twin brother, Gideon Scott Burtka-Harris, turns 12 this October.
Burtka captioned the cute photo, "Papa daughter love…. I love these two so much…"
In the picture, Harris hugs Harper from behind as she stands tall and smiles.
It can be assumed that Burtka is the one taking the picture, though it's unclear if Gideon is with them on the beach trip.
As you might expect, the photo got plenty of likes and comments, with many pointing out how grown Harper is.
Comedian Murray Hill simply wrote, "Omg!!!😍," while photographer Danielle Levitt commented, "I think she is a full grown up my God. She’s gorgeous and so tall. It’s been so long since I’ve seen her what a star."
Actor Matt Dallas, who has two adopted children, a son named Crow and a daughter named Rosa Rae, with husband Blue Hamilton, left a red heart as a comment on the photo.
Fans in the comments also loved the father-daughter moment, with one writing, "you two are so lucky to have each other!"
Others noted how much Harper looks like Burtka, saying, "She has David’s smile, 100%!! 😍."
Harris and Burtka welcomed Harper and Gideon via surrogate in 2010.
Explaining the process a bit to Wendy Williams, via PEOPLE, Burtka said that there were "two different women involved. There was an egg donor, a wonderful woman who was anonymous. We took two of our best guys and implanted them into her eggs, two different eggs."
Based on this, the couple hypothesized which of the twins has which father's biological genes.
While talking with Williams, Burtka shared that they believe Harper is biologically his, saying, "She's like, 'Hey everybody, I'm here!'" In comparison, Gideon is like Harris in that he is "a little more heady and intellectual."
