'NCIS' Fans Claim the Show Lost 'Hundreds of Viewers' Over Ziva's Disappointing Exit
Ziva's final reported NCIS episode aired and fans are upset for a million reasons.
What's really got viewers fired up, though, is that there wasn't a reunion between Tony and Ziva.
Ziva’s exit on NCIS may have been better than her last, but loyal fans are still furious with the show.
It felt right to have Cote de Pablo say a real, proper goodbye to her fellow co-workers, particularly McGee (Sean Murray). But after so much talk about Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Tali, viewers were hopeful that they’d get an on-screen reunion that felt worthy of her beloved family.
Unfortunately, despite all the clues they dropped that Tony could come back, that did not happen. Instead, Ziva stepped into the elevator and winked before the doors shut FOREVER. (Okay, maybe not forever but for now.)
To say people were disappointed is the understatement of the year, and it’s only the first week in January. Social media users flooded Twitter with their fury, making it clear that they found the turnout "frustrating." Some even threatened that they’re “so done” with the show and that CBS lost “hundreds of viewers” over the move.

Well done @CBS
Lost hundreds of viewers. No Tiva.
Never again... you can’t fix it I guess.#NCIS pic.twitter.com/v4eYAALvZ8— NCISseasons3-10 (@Ncisforthewin) January 8, 2020
Others were upset that they couldn’t, at minimum, Photoshop Tony into the video she shared of her daughter.
Basically Ziva saying the goodbyes she didn’t get to say in 2013. You couldn’t even photoshop @M_Weatherly onto her phone #NCIS?

.......of course
I’m so done.
A freakin picture and videos??? They couldn’t even get his voice in the background..#NCIS pic.twitter.com/UqYnzLCRQT— NCIS~Cravings (@NCIS__Cravings) January 8, 2020
The only thing we were thrilled to see was Ziva call out Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) for not telling Bishop (Emily Wickersham) how he feels about her yet. About time someone said it!
Call us naïve, but we’re still holding out hope that a Tiva moment could come. After all, Anthony Senior is guest starring on an upcoming episode, and that can’t be a coincidence.
Plus, now that we know Cote is open to coming back—and Michael is, too—they have to arrange it for us at some point. Right!?
