Ziva’s exit on NCIS may have been better than her last, but loyal fans are still furious with the show.

It felt right to have Cote de Pablo say a real, proper goodbye to her fellow co-workers, particularly McGee (Sean Murray). But after so much talk about Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Tali, viewers were hopeful that they’d get an on-screen reunion that felt worthy of her beloved family.

Unfortunately, despite all the clues they dropped that Tony could come back, that did not happen. Instead, Ziva stepped into the elevator and winked before the doors shut FOREVER. (Okay, maybe not forever but for now.)

To say people were disappointed is the understatement of the year, and it’s only the first week in January. Social media users flooded Twitter with their fury, making it clear that they found the turnout "frustrating." Some even threatened that they’re “so done” with the show and that CBS lost “hundreds of viewers” over the move.

Others were upset that they couldn’t, at minimum, Photoshop Tony into the video she shared of her daughter.

The only thing we were thrilled to see was Ziva call out Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) for not telling Bishop (Emily Wickersham) how he feels about her yet. About time someone said it!

Call us naïve, but we’re still holding out hope that a Tiva moment could come. After all, Anthony Senior is guest starring on an upcoming episode, and that can’t be a coincidence.

Plus, now that we know Cote is open to coming back—and Michael is, too—they have to arrange it for us at some point. Right!?
