Jordan Clarkson might be one of the NBA's most stylish players—he's often photographed throwing fits during fashion events and endorses Lululemon's high-level menswear lines— but behind the scenes, he's less flash, more hard, consistent work.

That commitment to training, off-court and on, has helped Clarkson cement his spot in the league. The Utah Jazz guard—who has also played with the L.A. Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers—won the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2021. He knows that his position is an important one, since he needs to come into games after they've started and immediately make an impact. "Being a sixth man, first player off the bench, always gotta be ready," he told the MH crew. "Being able to impact the game as quick as I can."

Importantly, the body is not the only point of Clarkson's focus. He says that getting his mental health up to the level of his physical health has been a major goal for the last three to four years. Clarkson credits his former Cavs teammate Kevin Love, an outspoken advocate for athletes' mental health and wellbeing, for bringing his attention to the importance of having a balanced approach to life both in and outside the court.

We caught up with Clarkson at Life Time Sky in NYC to walk us through his training and fitness regimen, a routine that is less focused on big weights and hours spent lifting and more dedicated to mobility, movement, and functionality.
