National Nurses Day is coming up on Saturday, May 6. It's also the day that kicks off National Nurses Week 2023, like it does every year. Nursing is an incredibly stressful career, which is why it’s so important to thank those nurses in our community for their time and sacrifices.
For years, companies have been offering special Nurses Week freebies, discounts, and deals to celebrate the hard work and dedication of nurses and other healthcare workers. And 2023 is no different. We searched the internet for some of the best deals and giveaways being offered for nursing professionals this year and came up with this list of 40-plus discounts and freebies in honor of National Nurses Week 2023 and National Nurses Day!

When Is Nurses Week 2023?
National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale. During the week, there are also days designated for certain nurses, like National Student Nurses Day on May 8, National International Nurses Day on May 12 and National School Nurses Day, which is celebrated on the Wednesday of Nurses Week (This year, that falls on May 10.)

Outback Steakhouse: The restaurant offers a 10% Heroes Discount every day for healthcare workers, as well active and former military members, police, firefighters, and first responders. Just show a valid medical, state or federal service ID.
Crocs: The company known for the comfy slip-on shoes is a favorite for nurses and healthcare workers who are constantly on their feet. The company, therefore, is holding a discount program for nurses for this special week. Healthcare workers can go in-store and get 20% off until May 12. Plus, if nurses just try on Crocs from the "Work" collection through May 16, they can also receive $10 off a $75 purchase. Lastly, healthcare workers, in general, can get 25% off online for the month of May by using their Sheer ID platform.

Purple Mattress: Nurses and other healthcare professionals can apply for a 10% off coupon through the company’s website.
Verizon: With the “Welcome Unlimited” plan, nurses and their family members can get up to four lines at $20 per line, per month. Get more information here.

Discounted Hotels: Nurses who verify their identity as medical professionals can enjoy up to 30% off a hotel stay through the Caesars Rewards program. And Radisson Hotels offers service workers 10% off a stay at their collection of properties, as well as an upgrade to the best available room at check-in (when available).

OOFOS: The company’s clogs are a favorite among nurses. And in honor of Nurses Week, OOFOS is offering 20% off to healthcare professionals who verify their status via ID.me.
