National Ice Cream Day 2020 Is Here And There Are Free Desserts Up For Grabs

Not that you need an excuse to eat ice cream in the dead of summer, but just in case you're looking for one, you'll be happy to know National Ice Cream Day falls on July 19 this year. President Reagan made National Ice Cream Day fall on every third Sunday of July, and it's been celebrated ever since 1984. Despite the fact that the world looks a little different this year, the holiday isn't changing. These ice cream shops and brands are all offering incredible deals in honor of the holiday. If you're feeling super adventurous, try out some of our homemade ice cream recipes instead.

Baskin Robbins

On July 19, Baskin Robbins is giving out free scoops with orders of $15 or more on DoorDash. Use the code BASKINSCOOP at checkout on the DoorDash app or DoorDash website.

Dairy Queen

Although Dairy Queen wasn't able to have free cone day back in March, the chain wants to make up for it by offering $1 off any size dipped cone through the DQ mobile app at select locations.

Friendly's

Friendly's is offering a deal for BFF members only, so you'll have to sign up for their loyalty program through the mobile app or online to get the deal before the weekend. Once you do that, from July 18 to July 19 you'll qualify for 85-cent cones.

Cold Stone Creamery

Through July 23, you can get a buy one get one free deal from Cold Stone when you purchase an ice cream Creation online. Simply place an order online, log into your My Cold Stone Club Rewards account at check out and enter code ICECREAM.

Häagen-Dazs

On National Ice Cream Day, Häagen-Dazs is launching the Fantasy Flavor Scoop Off, an imaginative flavor idea contest. All ice cream aficionados are invited to share their most creative flavor ideas, inspired by their love of decadent Häagen-Dazs ice cream. For the creative flavor idealists who earn a spot in the Fantasy Flavor Scoop Off there's a lot on the line. The last fan standing will receive a grand prize from the Häagen-Dazs brand with 15 handmade cartons of the winning customized fantasy flavor, 24 coupons for a year's worth of ice cream, and Häagen-Dazs swag. To enter, follow Häagen-Dazs on Instagram, look for the contest announcement post on July 19, share your most creative flavor idea in a single comment that starts with "My contest entry:", and tag a friend in the same comment. Insomnia Cookies

On National Ice Cream Day, you can get a BOGO deal on the new Monster'wich.

For National Ice Cream Day this year Blue Bunny is putting the “fun” in refund.
