Natalie Portman made a rare red-carpet appearance last night at the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming series Angel City.
For the evening, the actress showed off her sophisticated style in a monochrome look straight from the runway. It consisted of a chic bouclé short suit by Miu Miu: a structured cropped jacket with golden buttons and a braided detail at the edges, and minishorts with the same golden accents.
Portman styled the set simply with silky black peep-toe platform heels with a bow at the front. She seemed to wear no other accessories, and also kept her glam to a minimum with natural rosy makeup, a relaxed wavy hairdo, and a short red manicure.

Portman is one of the executive producers for the show, which tells the story of the Los Angeles-based professional women's soccer team, Angel City Football Club (ACFC). She also stars in the series.
Portman stays mostly out of the spotlight when she's not filming a project, and does not often delight us with her presence on Hollywood red carpets—when she does, however, her looks do not disappoint.
At the 2020 Oscars, the actress wore a black-and-gold Dior gown with a matching cape that was custom-made for her by the house. On the cape were embroidered the names of all the female directors who weren't nominated for the Best Director prize. Iconic.
Equally striking was the plunging golden gown she wore to the Vox Lux premiere at the Venice Film Festival in 2018—a sparkling Gucci piece with a built-in black bow belt.
