The Napa Valley Wine Train's Santa Train is back

All aboard for the best day trip you’ll have during the holidays.

The Napa Valley Wine Train is ringing in another holiday season with their special Santa Train. The Christmas-themed ride is a perfect day trip for families because it not only takes you through the gorgeous and scenic Napa Valley but it also offers fun activities and delicious snacks for the whole family.

Both children and adults alike can enjoy a delightful trip all while enjoying hot cocoa, freshly baked cookies, and singalongs. Is there any other way to celebrate the season?

Passengers of all ages will also enjoy a a holiday-themed interactive and musical journey where the conductor, Santa, and some of his holiday friends, help Jolly the Bear, who was accidentally left behind at the train station, get back to the workshop to be finished in time for Christmas Day. At the end of the trip, children will also be given a toy Jolly the Bear ornament as a special thank you for their help.

This year, the Napa Valley Wine Train is also partnering with the Community Action of Napa Valley Food Bank for the first time ever. The company is encouraging guests to bring canned and boxed food during their visit. The Wine Train will also donate 100 tickets to local foster children through the Napa County Family & Foster Parent Association.

“The Santa Train brings so much joy and cheer to our valley during the holiday season, so we’re looking forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike for this special experience,” said Scott Goldie, co-CEO of the Napa Valley Wine Train, in a company statement. “We’re excited to work with the Community Action of Napa Valley Food Bank this year and continue to welcome local foster children aboard as supporting the community is a huge priority for the train.”

There will be two shows each day, with one at 5 p.m. and one at 7 p.m. Each journey lasts a total of one and a half hours. Shows at 5 p.m. will be available November 19 through December 27 with blackout dates on November 22 and December 24 and 25. Shows at 7 p.m. will be available November 29 and 30, December 1, 7, the 13 through the 23 and on the 26, with blackout dates on December 24 and 25.

Fares for the Santa Train start at $59.99 per person on Mondays through Thursday and $79.99 per person for Fridays and Saturdays. Free parking is available in the Napa Valley Wine Train’s parking lot and space is limited.
