Naomi Campbell is celebrating her first Mother's Day — which falls in March in her native U.K. — as a mom. The supermodel surprised fans last May when she announced that she had become a first-time mother at 50, welcoming a baby girl who has already graced the cover of British Vogue.

Now approaching her first birthday, the infant has made another rare appearance in her famous mom's Instagram tribute to U.K. Mother's Day. One photo sees the 51-year-old Campbell kissing her daughter, who is fashionably decked out in a plaid dress with matching green velvet slippers and a lilac cardigan. A second shot honoring Campbell's own mother, Valerie Campbell, shows the proud grandmother marveling at her granddaughter, who wears a pale pink sleepsuit. A third photo is a throwback of Valerie with Campbell as a child.

"1st Mothers Day UK," Campbell captioned the post. "God's Greatest Blessing!!"

According to her interview with British Vogue for its March issue, Campbell is saving many of the details of her daughter's birth — including her name — for a book she'll one day write. "She wasn't adopted — she's my child," she told the magazine, but stopped short of disclosing more.

The British catwalker has been more candid about the impact motherhood has had on her, calling it "the best thing I've ever done."

"I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it's the biggest joy I could ever imagine," she told British Vogue. "I'm lucky to have her and I know that.”

She also shared that she's encouraging her friends to not let motherhood pass them by. "I'm telling them all, 'do it! Don’t hesitate!'"
