Naomi Campbell Already Wore Sofia Vergara's Oscar Dress

Sofia Vergara, the human equivalent of #goals, attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday night in a metallic crocodile print Michael Kors Collection dress. The look was classic Vergara and matched the theme of the night in shimmering Oscars silver and gold, with just one caveat: Fans saw it on Naomi Campbell three years ago.

Campbell chose the same Michael Kors bodycon number to present at the 2014 National Television Awards. She polished the look with minimal jewelry — one simple gold ring and another in chunky gold — while Vergara went with statement Lorraine Schwartz diamonds.

It’s easy to see how two stars could end up in this particular gown: Long sleeves are universally flattering and the metallic print has just the right amount of pop. However, there’s just no point in a “who wore it best” when two people look this good.

One thing is clear: No red carpet duplicate is going to take away Vergara’s Oscars excitement.

Any potential dress drama is way overshadowed by the Best Picture mishap that brought La La Land up on stage before the reveal that the true winner was Moonlight. Vergara spent part of her time at the after party the same way everyone else must have — explaining and wondering about what happened. According to Vanity Fair, Vergara and Joe Manganiello “were the ones to break the news to Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon.”

At least she looked good while doing it.
