This Nanny Gig Includes World Travel — and a $128,000 Salary
A family is currently in search of a live-in nanny to take care of their four children — while getting to spend time in locations that include London, Barbados, Cape Town, and Atlanta.
The family — with children ages 2, 5, 7, and 15 — has four residences around the world where the nanny will be splitting their time, in addition to perks like driving a Maserati, and enjoying meals prepared by a Michelin-starred chef. All with the kids, of course.
Traveling will be a regular part of the gig: The chosen candidate may need to travel internationally up to three times a week.
Though the position has a slew of benefits, including a salary of 100,000 British pounds (roughly $128,000), it will be a demanding one.
“I feel it is best to be upfront — the role is demanding; our children are home-schooled and require constant attention and supervision, even when they are with their teachers,” the job listing reads.
Just how demanding? Try 13 hours a day, six days a week.
The family has already had more than 300 applications for the role, and they’re looking for someone who fits the criteria they require, which includes a U.K. driver’s license, a degree in child psychology, no children of their own, and a minimum of 15 years of experience being a nanny. Self-defense skills are also a plus, although they say they'll pay for that training if the right candidate doesn't yet have it.
Chosen candidates will live with the family for two weeks as part of a paid provisional period before getting the full time role.
