A school district in New Jersey passed a new policy this week that will allow schools to bar students from attending prom if they have a school lunch debt above $75.
Marcia: The Constitution says, "The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation." I'm not sure what oath or affirmation they will be required to take, but I hope it is similar to a jury in a criminal case. In a criminal trial, the jury is required to listen to the evidence without any pre-conceived ideas of the outcome. They are prohibited from talking about the case among themselves until it is time to deliberate. I hope that Justice Roberts reminds the Senate of their role as an unbiased jury and asks anyone who cannot do that to recuse himself, regardless of political party. I don't expect any senator will actually do that, but they should be on record that they promised to be unbiased.
