Controversy continues to complicate this year's Grammy Awards, but the parties are buzzy as ever: With Sunday night's show fast approaching, stars are descending upon LA for ultra-exclusive pre-ceremony events and concerts.

Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X may be competitors for Best New Artists, but the two were fast friends at Spotify's pre-Grammys bash. At 18 and 20, respectively, they've quickly become two of the most influential young people in the world — in part due to their unflappable style. Both opted for neon ensembles at the event.

While some parties are nearly impossible to get into, others are slightly more accessible for a few lucky fans. Citi cardmembers, for example, were able to snag tickets to the Citi Sound Vault concert series, which kicked off with Coldplay and will culminate Saturday night with the Jonas Brothers.

Dozens of famous faces were in attendance at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala, which this year honored Aerosmith and raised $6 million for the Recording Academy’s philanthropy causes. Johnny Depp even hopped onstage to perform with Steven Tyler and the guys.

More sightings unfolded at the Warner Music Group pre-Grammy party, where Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani cuddled up for the cameras. The next day, they headed to the Staples Center to rehearse for their joint Grammys performance.
