Movers & Shakers: Joe Regan named CFO at MutualOne Bank in Framingham

Joe Regan was recently named chief financial officer at MutualOne Bank in Framingham.

He is responsible for directing all of the bank’s finance functions and assisting with the creation and implementation of strategies. Regan will also provide financial counsel to the chief executive officer, president and board of directors.

Before joining MutualOne, Regan worked at Boston Private Bank, a subsidiary of Boston Private Financial Holdings (BPFH), where he most recently served as principal accounting officer. He was previously treasurer and bank segment CFO for BPFH.

Regan holds a master of business administration in finance and a bachelor of science in accounting, both from UMass Lowell. He is also a certified public accountant.

Alison Lies, of Newton, was recently named executive vice president at Winstanley Enterprises, a Concord-based commercial real estate and development company.

She will oversee financing, joint ventures, acquisition, development and portfolio financial analyses working closely with Winstanley’s in-house asset management, construction management, and property management teams.

Lies brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance, asset management and development, with a focus on multifamily, mixed-use, retail strip centers, enclosed malls, lifestyle centers and urban street retail.

She holds a degree in mathematics from Northwestern University.

The Five Star Wealth Manager award is given annually to financial managers who are identified through research conducted with peers and firms. The program analyzes internal and external research data, including a survey to more than 3,000 registered financial services professionals and all local financial service companies registered with FINRA or the SEC, to select each year’s winners. Nominated wealth managers who satisfied 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria are awarded the title.
