If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that we never have to wait long for a new Mountain Dew flavor to pop up. In March 2020, it was rumored that Frost Bite was going to be the latest soda to come out, and it hit stores shortly after. Let’s hope that’s the case with the Zero Sugar Frost Bite version that’s expected to come out soon.

Mountain Dew first launched Zero Sugar in January 2020, and as the name suggests, it doesn’t have any sugar. Since a regular 20-ounce bottle has 77 grams of sugar (!!!) this was a huge deal for soda lovers. So it’s great that the initiative isn’t just for the original flavor. The new Major Melon flavor also has a Zero Sugar option, so who knows, maybe this will become the norm with Mountain Dew.

Sometimes when these new varieties are found, it isn’t confirmed by the brand itself. However, in this case, PepsiCo (Mountain Dew’s parent company) has basically announced it. The Zero Sugar Frost Bite is listed on its website, complete with a photo of the 20-ounce bottle. It looks similar to the non-zero-sugar one with the shark packaging, but it has a black label and cap.

Mountain Dew Frost Bite’s flavor is described as “a burst of icy refreshment and cool melon” by PepsiCo. It’s a Walmart-exclusive flavor, so it’s fair to assume that the Zero Sugar version will also only be available at the retail giant. Better keep an eye on the beverage aisle.
