Although Mountain Dew has many, many flavors, when you find one that you love, it’s hard to find another to take its place. The Liberty Brew variety first came out around this time in 2019, and now we can confirm that it will be returning this year.

Mountain Dew Liberty Brew is a combination of 50 different signature flavors in one drink. While details on what those flavors are aren’t yet known, we do know that the midnight blue soda has a berry taste. No wonder it got such positive reviews among consumers the first time around!

You can expect to see Mountain Dew Liberty Brew back on shelves in mid-June 2020, a rep with the brand confirmed to Best Products. It will be available in single 20-ounce bottles, 16.9-ounce and 16-ounce bottles in six- and eight-packs, and 12-ounce cans in 12-packs. The packaging looks identical to last year’s with a bald eagle, Statue of Liberty, and the Liberty Bell. It’s just the patriotic drink we need to sip on the 4th of July.

In addition to the Liberty Brew, Mountain Dew released limited-edition packaging of its original flavor, featuring a different state on each one in 2019. There were 50 different bottles with the name of a state on each one. The DEWnited States promotion is coming back on May 18, 2020 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, so prepare to hunt down as many bottles as you can find.

“We have some of the most passionate fans who embody the spirit of DEW, and what we’ve noticed in following them on social media is that they all do it differently,” Erin Chin, senior director, marketing, MTN DEW, said in a press release last year. “DEWnited States is about recognizing those differences and celebrating the pride Dew Nation has for their home states, all while championing the unifying messaging of doing no matter where they live.”

Just like last year, this is a limited-edition flavor that will only be available for so long. Luckily, as long as the soda is unopened and kept out of extreme temperatures, it can last for months even after the expiration date. What we’re trying to say is, if you see us at the store with a shopping cart full of Liberty Brew, mind your business.
